Sandy Van Fleet loves to make others laugh. “Laughter is the best medicine,” she says. In an effort to create more laughter in a sometimes dim world, she launched Agnes & Orson, a boutique gift shop specializing in gifts and sass.
“We try to find the funnest and funniest cards and items to help us all,” she says. “We feel like we are providing a humanitarian service!”
Agnes & Orson was first created back in 2015, and purchased by Van Fleet in 2018. Since then, she’s grown the shop to its current location at The Green Towne Center in Beavercreek.
When you shop Agnes & Orson, you’ll find a variety of items in the store including sassy cards, sassy items, hobo bags, candles by Sidney Hale, home decor, baby gift items from Jellycat and Milkbarn, Corkcicle, jewelry, stationery items, and much more.
Van Fleet says that what makes her store unique is that there’s something for everyone. “Most of the items in the store are not found on Amazon, and we carry local items as well,” she explains. “Customers have a great time browsing, finding just the right gift, and laughing at the fun items we have.”
Inventory at Agnes & Orson is constantly changing, so no visit is the same, according to Van Fleet. She also says there are local artisans who come in to showcase their items on a rotating basis. “It’s is a place where customers can come in just to see what’s new,” she adds.
