In part 1 of Kyla’s story she shared that she is deliberate about creating boundaries for herself and her time.  As Public Information Officer for Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Woods is always “on” and leading a centered, “well” life requires living intentionally.

So in what pillar of wellness does Kyla excel? “I would say social / spiritual. I laugh a lot, I read, and I pray often.” She creates space for prayer and reading by being deliberate about her boundaries.  “No is a complete sentence” Woods shared in “A Leadership Style Panel Discussion” powered by Crunchmaster.  “We, as women, feel like we have to give an explanation and we simply do not.”

Kyla has been intentional about improving her physical wellness.

“I need to improve my physical wellness. I used to exercise regularly but some joint pain (and a very busy lifestyle) has prevented that. I have been doing more consistent yoga, but I need to get a professional opinion on some hip and knee issues I’ve been having that I just haven’t made enough time for.”

Woods has been finding her workout groove at Society Cycle and enjoys working out as a family in her East Walnut Hills neighborhood.
