Christina Leo is a big sister, and when her brothers were younger she was always on the lookout for a family-friendly place where she could hang out with them while enjoying a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, she never quite found that coffee shop. So instead, she decided to venture out on her own and create the space she’d always been looking for.
“I was the big sister taking my little brothers on Starbucks runs and adventures, but I found that it was difficult to take them places where families were truly welcome, and I always felt the need to keep them occupied with coloring or hushing,” she says. Rather than think about how nice it would be to have a warm, welcoming space for all, she started manifesting it.
Today she is the founder of Brewed & Frothy Coffee Co., a coffee roasting company perfect for those who love community and coffee. “As of right now, we’re a coffee roaster, but there is so much more in the future with the end plan to open my brick-and-mortar, plant-loving, family-friendly coffeehouse for our local community to chill, rejoice and enjoy the environment,” she explains.
Although there is currently no storefront available, Leo does offer a variety of whole bean coffee to fit your needs. “I have four organic options of Guatemala, Colombia, Kenya and Ethiopia, and my regular coffee offerings are Costa Rica, Sumatra, Decaf and Blissful Blend, and I’m currently working on Espresso Roast,” adds Leo.
While the dream of opening a physical coffee shop is on the horizon, Leo says that there’s still plenty of things for others to enjoy about Brewed & Frothy Coffee Co. As someone who has always been an outgoing person, she enjoys meeting others and being part of the community. “With that being said, I have created the motto of Brewed & Frothy Coffee Co. to be ‘Coffee – Community – Connection,’” she says. “Having that connection with my community and customers is truly important to me, and I want to ensure that my customers are truly happy with their coffee. It’s not just caffeine to me, it’s all about the coffee experience and what having a cup of coffee with those who mean the most can do for you.”
Leo is excited at the prospect of opening a brick-and-mortar location, and giving moms, dads and families a safe place to go where they are able to relax outside their homes and the little ones can have a good, playful time.
Soon, you’ll be able to catch Leo and Brewed & Frothy Coffee Co.’s mobile coffee cart as well as cold brew options so that you can enjoy freshly made cold brew from the comfort of your home.
